Season 2, Episode 2 finds us diving into the film technology and how it captures and relays African skin. Our guest is Ndumiso Mnguni, the pioneering filmmaker and colourist behind Digital Melanin Cinematography; a company that seeks to change the standard of how African aesthetic is captured. Within the episodes we explore Shirley Cards and the history of film and darker skin tones and how his movements seeks to broaden the scope of how film technology interacts with Melanated Skin.
